Posted - 04/14/2004 : 15:29:18 Some of you might recall that a few years ago, on the i-music message board, a guy claimed to possess an alternate version of Trompe Le Monde.
Several people made a trade deal with him, but then complained he never sent out anything.
The only thing he sent out on the Internet were some short excerpts of a few songs (that really sounded like the real thing). I think there was one that later appeared on the first Frank Black solo album (and it was not Hang On To Your Ego).
I was myself in contact with this guy, who also claimed to have more rarities, such as (if I remember well) a version of Monkey Gone To Heaven in Spanish!
Does anybody have any information on this?
Thanks

A few people tried to get copies but no one succeeded. The songs were Bird Dreams, Palace of the Brine, and Brackish Boys. Apparently this guy used to hang out outside the Pixies rehearsals all the time when they practiced in LA.
