Posted - 03/01/2004 : 22:14:10 I was a DJ at KUCI and had the wondereful opportunity to interview the Pixies in 88 on the "Surfer Rosa" tour. It was upstairs at the Roxy, and was done on tape recorder (which the batteries, unfortunately, gradually lost power towards the end). I have digitized the whole thing and have it in mp3 format now. It's kinda cool, hearing them in the "early days". At time it gets bland...but it's still pretty cool. Anyone wanting a copy, get ahold of me by e-mail - lsinger9404@cox.net. You'll send me a blank CD and a pre-posted/addressed envelope (and mabye someting cool for my trouble, though that's not necessary) and i'll send you a copy of the interview.

Posted - 03/03/2004 : 12:37:30 In case anyone missed the announment in the ftp folder, this interview's been posted. Its cool. Its unfocused with a lot of random conversation. At one point Black Francis translates the spanish of Oh My Golly and Vamos. The second clip is sped up a bit, the result being that Kim sounds all coked up, which is always fun

Posted - 03/01/2004 : 22:39:09 That sounds really cool. You should e-mail the mods and see if you can upload it onto the site's ftp server. That way, everyone can enjoy it and you save yourself a hassle, what with the postage and burning and all. There's already a couple of old radio interviews on it from their boston days, pre-come on pilgrim.
