Hi guys and gals, just a quick word to let you know Nimrod's Son are back in London, Friday 19th March at the Venue, in New Cross. More of a celebration of the music than a Pixies-pantomime, although I AM overweight and wear the token lumberjack shirt. It can either be your warm-up for the real Pixies' Brixton dates, or a far-cheaper subtitute! I think it's £7 on the door, £6 with the ad from the week's NME.
We gig rarely nowadays due to the fact our 'Kim' is studying history the other side of the country, so come down and rock oWWT! Every show could be the last!
First few people to email me get "guestlist priviledges"; free entry, help us drink our rider backstage and sing a few songs with us onstage.

nb: BRING ID! Seriously! The Venue have decided to be 21+ only, you'd need to be a member of the club to get in if you're 18-20. Visit their site if you're desperate to get in and you're 18-20..
Needless to say, I'm less than pleased with this and am in talks concerning it..

Damn it!!! I was in London that weekend too. I tried to go and see Joey but they sold out.

I have never been to ULU ither, was gonna see the kills there, but didnt happen.
Im not really a fan of cover bands generally....

I know what you mean, about it being tacky while they're still around. Maybe you *should* do a Frank tribute while they're back together...heh. or not.
I now can't make it tonight, how annoying. Another time perhaps. If you do do the UK tour over the summer, i'll be sure to attend (play Northampton!).

We're thinking about touring the UK in the summer, but I'm not sure. I'm slightly put off carrying on the tribute now that the REAL Pixies are actually together again. Seems tacky.
Anyways, hope to see as many as you as possible tomorrow night!

yo doog, i saw that nirvana tribute band are touring up north, the one you supported a little while ago (iirc), i take it you guys aren't coming up with them to support them? would be ace if you did, i'd be there in a shot!

ahhh marvellous, I'll be there again, just a short walk from my house, etc etc etc
ahhhh last time was such fun (bar the drunken dancing to The Darkness afterwards, but we wont go there).
good luck with making it 18+ - do you know if there'll be money off coupons yet? I would email about guestlists, except there'd be a few of us... eek |
