So I decided to start a thread for the lyrics (or as best as we can figure out) for the new Pixies songs that we've heard that have not been released on an EP (with accompanying lyrics on their press site).
Below is my take on Silver Snail and Classic Masher.

He’s playing dumb
While you’re looking at clothes
Straightening his hat
Mr. schnook ho-hum
I should’ve shook his hand
I never used to be bland
Never misconstrued
But I never amused you

Thanks for straightening that out. I'm actually surprised that was all I had wrong. Took me listening to Classic Masher a few times to get that. Speaking of which...
When are we going to get to hear Pixies play Classic Masher?!

On listening again I agree with your "ooze leather" (had never heard of it)and "he sewed together" so I edited to the lyrics.

I think it's ooze rather than used leather. There's a mention of books earlier which can have ooze leather covers, and it explains the whole oozing lyrics later. |

The line from Silver snail is on my way back to "Juan" I believe. Probably the Juan in Mexico, though there is one in California as well. |

This, coupled with the inclusion of the word "haberdasher" thrilled me to no end. Two of my favorite terms, now cohabitating in a great new song by one of my favorite composers...
A few definitions from the Urban Dictionary could be seen to fit with the tone and subject matter of the tune in varying ways, thusly:

1. Describing a person who is expressing an overall feeling of superiority or pompousness

2. A dismissive comment for the overly zealous. Usually accompanied by a dismissive hand-gesture.
Can also be used as a verb. Ie:
Tut-tutting
Serena: I think I should be a writer!
Alf: Tut-tut, surely you need to know how to read first.
Or
Serena: Quit Tut-tutting all my ideas asshole!
Alf: Sorry
3. A slang term for oral sex on a male. Sometimes shortened to just "tut."
"Brother, I think I will receive some tut tut this weekend from that ho."
