I'm starting the official predictions thread for the new Pixies album. Whoever gets closest to the 100% correct will get bragging rights in the forum forever and get to feed you-know-who a tampon. So without further ado:

Album title: 1st choice- Silver Snail 2nd choice- What Goes Boom 3rd choice- Aristophanes (long shot but something about that tweet...)

Release date: Oct 15, 2013

New bassist: 1st choice- Kim Shattuck, 2nd choice- Ding Archer w/ additional vocals by Violet Clark and/or Linda Mallari.

Make your predictions. And Charles- feel free to speak up whenever you like..

the new pixies will have to break form.

Album Title: Bagboy
Release Date: December 7th, 2013 (or nearest Tuesday, do they still do new releases on Tuesdays???)
New Bassist: revolving door role
Tour plans: play same city / same night as The Breeders (a la Hedwig) - fans will have to choose - amazingly, breeders tickets are nearly free on craigslist days after Pixies announce schedule

Prediction: it's a pretty damn good record. It sounds a bit like Frank Black solo. But that's OK, I've been wating for one of those for a while.

I guess the new bassist, whoever he/she is, won't be a "true" Pixies member, just like Mike Watt with The Stooges...
