Dolittle Direct Metal Master Virgin Vinyl LP Transfer up on Youtube.
Just search Dolittle Direct Metal Master

I'm playing em on my ipod now. Sounds harder louder. Awesome.

I'll load up Side A and B mp3s if anyone's interested.

Cheers benji. I only have mp3s I ripped off youtube of the 2009 - LP - MFSL. It's good but the channels are switched unfortunately.

nabbed this comparison off what.cd - does this cver it?
1989 - LP - 4AD - CAD 905 - saurus rip @ what.cd
1989 - CD - 4AD - UK - CAD 905 CD
2008 - CD, SACD - MFSL - Hybrid SACD - UDSACD 2033
2009 - LP - MFSL - 180g Half-Speed Mastered - MFSL 1-309 - aksman 2009 rip

-----

Between 1989 4AD CD and CD layer of 2008 MFSL Hybrid SACD there isn't much difference. 1989 4AD CD has more dynamics, but because it's thinner. 2008 MFSL CD has more bass and is a bit darker. MFSL CD feels more balanced and lifelike for me, but they are both well mastered.

Between two formats of 2008 MFSL Hybrid SACD, both SACD and CD sound good. SACD is better - it has more clarity - and I need to say this 2008 MFSL SACD sounds really great.

I like 2009 MFSL LP even more than 2008 MFSL SACD. LP is warmer and a bit darker. It also has fatter sound with a little more bass. Overally SACD is a bit sharper, but LP feels more lifelike and fuller.

1989 4AD LP is louder than 2009 MFSL LP. 4AD LP is also a little thinner with highs more prominent that the rest. MFSL has highs a bit rolled off in comparison. It makes drums to be hardly audible on some parts. I think that's a poor mix fault, not MFSL mastering. 4AD LP is sharper and more detailed, but MFSL LP feels more lifelike and better balanced. aksman 2009 rip is clean and overally very good. saurus rip is more noisy, but it doesn't have any annoying artifacts neither. I prefer MFSL LP mastering, but you they both sound nice and better than other releases.

Preference:
2009 - LP - MFSL - 180g Half-Speed Mastered - MFSL 1-309 - aksman 2009 rip

Can anyone shed any light on this record with the DMM transfer?

Also, an odd question: Did any of you see Pixies play live before you ever heard any of their records? If so can you describe your experience?

Some of the songs seem to have a lot of compression. Left guitars seem louder in some songs. Good listen though, it's different!
