After the Doolittle 20th anniversary tour do you think they'll go do another album? Kim, Joey and Dave have been hanging out together in LA lately, and Joey and Dave have been making some cool music together and Black Francis seems up for it... Is the chemistry now right? Will they drop a Xmas 2010 album on our laps????

There's a lot of Pixies boots from 1991 out there for Bossa Trompe fans who want a taste of the songs live.Brixton Academy 06.26.1991 is a good one.

Good call - that was an amazing tour and would've been a great send off.

If they are planning to tour again this year then it would seem a bit strange not to play some stuff off the latter albums, seeing as we just had a 20th anniversary doolittle tour. It's now about 4 or 5 months until it's 20th anniversary of the release of Bossanova, and I remember it like it was yesterday. Sadly time moves forward at a constant rate though, and it is now in fact 20 years on, and like everyone else I have aged commensurately... :(

I do know the Pixies are planning a lot of touring in the summer months, but i haven't heard anything about a Bossanova tour. However, i think now that the Doolittle bridge has been crossed, it certainly wouldn't shock me. I actually think that dusting off "Silver" and showing that it was possible to quasi-replicate that live has opened up the options a little. I think we're more apt to see a Bossanova tour than a Trompe tour. It just may not be the 20th anniversary - maybe 21st...

Yeah, I'd love to see more of the latter period songs in the set.

Over two nights in London in 2005, we got 'The Sad Punk', 'Alec Eiffel', 'Stormy Weather' and 'Allison'. A little under rehearsed but good all the same. The band last year seemed a lot tighter and aggressive though (and the performance of 'Rock Music' on Youtube is marvellous!)

Hey Sam - yeah, that was the gig. Didn't see Arcade Fire though, if I remember correctly Queens Of The Stone Age played in between.

Hey Denis - were you at Rock en Seine in St.Cloud? I was there, what a gig. Arcade Fire warmed up. That was a summer night in Paris to remember.

I'm happy for you. They seem to have an aversion to playing song from the latter two albums whenever I see them..

A Bossonova and/or Trompe tour would be sick. they played dig for fire when i saw them this year which was cool to hear.

I think the songs on Bossonova would be incredible in a live setting-hangwire, rock music, the happening, havalina - sounds like a solid set list and a lot more interesting than doolittle or surfer rosa imo, especially since they've played those songs so much now. If they do these tours i think they would be best off putting an end to the pixies if they don't do something new... it seems unnatural imo to play the same exact songs for so many years straight as musicians and i believe they could come up with something really good if they were all committed to it, but im not gonna keep my hopes up.

it's not under rated or apprecaited by me, but their appearances thus far in me seeing them have lacked a certain bossanovity.i tihnk I've probably heard every song they have every written up until that album live, but only two songs from B and 1 from TLM. i guess when they reformed it was much easier to get into the old track thatn the new ones they had only played a couple of years.

But certainly they should try to do it.

I'd love to see a Bossonova tour - it is probably my favourite album and not one song was played from it during their 2007 Australia tour. It's almost a sci-fi surf guitar concept album, an under apprectiated GEM!

?Are they going to do a 20th anniversary Bossanova tour this year, that's what I want to know!

As long as there is no evidence or announcement of that... it's better not to believe in it.

Pixies staying the past is fine for me. It's not as if Black Francis wasn't very prolific anymore or not releasing any interesting stuff... THAT is the essential for me.
