Posted - 07/09/2009 : 17:47:30 When I saw them for three songs at the SECC in 1991 I had to sit through several hours of not very good glasgow bads, three no less, cud, bmx bandits and teenage fanclub. I enjoying not one of them. But when the main act came on the atmospahere in the place went wild like no other gig I remember
When I saw them at brixton in 2004, the support act was graham coxon. They played a great set, I thoroughly enjoyed them, but I was understandably also not thaet bovvered because the next band was... It wasn't until several years later that I found out who coxon was, the guitarist from blur, and what a great musician he is!
I just wondered what band(s) people would like to see as the support act, because you can be rest assured it'll be a fairly big act possibly worth seeing.
I'd like to see maybe Les Savy Fav, but then they would probably have to tour with them. Otherwise I'd really love to see Clinic support them. They don't seem to tour very much, and they are very mysterious. I'd just love to see them somewhere, once in my life.
Otherwise maybe:
Metronomy!

Can't say I've that impressed with what I hear. It'll just be lke in 1991 when I had to stand through Teenage Fanclub, BMX Bandits and CUD, only not as long.

Posted - 08/11/2009 : 03:42:26 You didn't enjoy bmx bandits or teenage fanclub?! Crazy! Teenage Fanclub (or the Fannies as they're affectionately known as) supported the Pixies again in 2005 in Edinburgh along with My Latest Novel.
They also covered Here Comes Your Man on one of their singles a few years back...and then there's the Teenage Fanclub and Frank Black John Peel sessions, that was pretty awesome! So I guess they're pretty friendly!
Anyway I would like any of the following to support the Pixies...
Modest Mouse Lemonheads Dinosaur Jr Calexico Fleet Foxes My Morning Jacket Detroit Cobras Death Cab For Cutie

I wouldn't want anything that would blow my mind beforehad, so weezer could work.
