Free track from Dave and Joey's new project The Everybody here.

http://everybodytheband.com/

It's called Snow in Los Angeles, and it's pretty weird. I like it. Sounds like a kid doing the vocals, one of their own sprogs perhaps (?).

Hadn't heard that version of Lonely Cholo before (or any of the rest to be honest) but like this version of Lonely Cholo

Another little news thing:

Tiny Mix Tapes - Pixies side project The Everybody release ultra fancy split 7-inch.

NUVO - Stationary Odyssey split 7" with Pixies project.
Discoking Posted - 11/29/2011 : 06:03:03

so one album track, marooned, got redone by stationary odyssey, and they're releasing both the original track as the reworked one on a seven inch single.

Exclaim! - Pixies' Joey Santiago and Dave Lovering Debut Their Everybody Project.
The Maharal Posted - 08/26/2011 : 01:52:58
As good as the original songs are it was a bit of an ambitious project.

Still think that a good few of these songs could have been good to great Pixies songs.
Discoking Posted - 08/25/2011 : 23:00:28
Has anyone heard anything about "The Everybody Else"?
I remember reading about other musicians working on some tracks for this. I guess it died a silent death?

quote:
Ever wanted Joey Santiago or David Lovering to play on your song or album? Ever wish you could make music with legendary producer Eddie Kramer?

The Deluxe version of Avatar comes with bonus tracks, lossless files and royalty-free album stems for you to remix, reimagine and reinvent... and then make millions of dollars selling! But that's not all!

Once you've created new music from the Avatar stems, audition for The Everybody Else by submitting your song to Joey and David via SoundCloud.

its a fun short album, i like the tracks daisy mentioned ... at 4 bucks its a good deal. maybe they could get frank in the next album
Daisy Girl Posted - 12/14/2009 : 16:11:24
This is cool. The mp3s were only $4. Well worth the purchase.

I really like Surf Spy, Waterfall Ahead and Concrete, too.

What a cool holiday present.
pot Posted - 12/14/2009 : 05:34:10
Sounds alright to me, it's not amazing like a Pixies album, but it's alright.

I like Concrete, that's a pretty cool track.

Hooray Rentals! Thanks Carl.
Carl Posted - 04/11/2009 : 17:06:34
Joey has collaborated with The Rentals on their new project, Songs About Time...check it out on their official site.

TOP40-Charts.com - The Rentals Release New EP 'The Story Of A Thousand Seasons Past'.

Produced by The Rentals and Dave Trumfio, the EP features Jamie
Blake, Lauren Chipman, Dan Joeright and Rentals founder and front man Matt Sharp. The
track 'Song Of Remembering'
features a guest appearance by
Pixies guitarist Joey Santiago.

RA: Adam Freeland goes rock.

The album, which sees Freeland acting as producer for the
likes of Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee, Pixies guitarist Joey Santiago and Marilyn
Manson bassist Twiggy Ramirez along the way, features Kurt Baumann fronting
Freeland and singing on a variety of tracks throughout.

Idolator - The Rentals Unfriend P From Facebook.

The first official video from the first official album showed up today, and it’s a very
pretty, very stylish compendium of their sunniest shots. Joey Santiago from the
Pixies is chillin’ along, and we’re glad to mention him for the extra Google traffic.

LOL @ You all everybody...

I agree on the martinis, I thought Smitten was terribly lame. I don't like her voice at all.

Is this an original song, or is it an age old Xmas song from the US that I've never heard of because I'm Scottish?

I don't think it is meant to be taken too seriously. Anyone got any clues as to who the kid is singing on it, or is it one of them with their voices distorted to sound like a kid?

With a bit of remixing I think this song could easily be a decent Kim Deal number, maybe the plan is to have Kim singing this song on the (speculative) new Pixies album.

Apparently it's "6 year old
Valentina Santiago on vocals."

About the jerseys....
I seem to remember that someone gave all the Pixies members matching jerseys during the reunion tour. I believe there's a picture out there somewhere of this...

We've got a group on Facebook for Everybody, and Joey and Dave have posted some new tracks on there.

Also, I've got both of them as admins on the page, and they do regularly post updates!
