Posted - 10/18/2006 : 16:44:59 PIXIES LOUDQUIETLOUD MEETS PIXIES FOOL THE WORLD IN AUSTIN---
This just came up...
I was asked by alamo drafthouse here in Austin if I wanted to give out some books at the Austin premiere (not counting SXSW) of LoudquietLoud on the 23rd and again on the 27th of October!
So I'm gonna. The directors are in the book and the book is about the pixies so it seems like a nice double header!
So I will be at the alamo downtown on the 23rd at 8:30pm- selling books and givin some away, and same on the 27th at the Alamo south lamar both in Austin, TX! (same time I think?)
maybe you can spread the word. Thanks.

Posted - 10/14/2006 : 09:57:53 I do very much hope to someday soon get back to my musical idea, and concentrate on Frank's life proper, funny you should mention it. Although I was happy at the natural organic movement from the musical to the book I still feel there is a musical in me. I saw him here in Austin a few days ago. He did an in store at Waterloo records. It was so good to see him again after so so long (reunion and all). I was so happy that he was doing so well. It's amazing how he has found a way to meld his Pixie past with his solo present and future. It is something to admire. Who else can do such a thing, so seamlessly. I am forever in awe. It reminded me why I spent so much of my late twenties on the project.
Thanks for the words, I hope to make it to Canada at some point!
***Another funny little thing... Those "Hey" girls, the ones from You Tube got in touch and I offered to send them copies of the book to Israel since it's not out there. They were excited about that. They have had 10 million people watch that video of them lip synching to "Hey". Amazing! And it's so funny because all they want to know if what the Pixies think about the video, if they have seen it, etc... Super cute. Amazing story about them, isn't it.

Posted - 10/13/2006 : 18:36:37 Yes Cult o Frank that is what I thought. No need to be rude Bolero, really man- whats the deal? I spent 5 years writing the book and these silly readings are really the main pay off. Just makes an author feel good to see in person that people are digging the book ya wrote. Sorry that it is in silly places but I already did Los Angeles and NYC.
For those of you who do in fact "care", like the 100 fans that came out to the Strand in NYC and 60 that came out in Los Angeles (thanks guys and gals!) I hope you stop in and say hi for these next ones. Oh and I will be doing Boston (Harvard) in March.
Lots of Love, Josh |

Then one day, Mary Hill, she married away A man with some money said "Come on, honey" & she said okay She went away to play a one man game & since that day it ain't been the same 'Cause Mary Hill was such a thrill after dark Yeah in Cherry Hill Park
