I'm quiet new to this forum and everything (although not new to pixies and frank), and I wondering if anyone else can hear a strange noise during the song hang wire, its occurs about the 12th or 13th second, and it sounds a bit like a frog, and it doesn’t seem to crop up anywhere else in the song

I do hope you don’t think I’m too strange or owt, but its driving me mad!

Sounds to me like that obscure instrument which I can't recall the name of. It's a cone with concentric ridges which a short stick is dragged across. I've heard it in other songs. But it is indeed odd that it occurs nowhere else.

I became sort of obsessed with that one song for a few days and played it on repeat constantly, so I began to know the song perhaps a bit TOO well. The noise, (at least to me) doesn’t really sound like a guitar, it just sounds strange and now every time I listen to the song its all I can hear is *strange frog noise* grr... but thanks for everyone else giving it a listen, at least I know I'm not going mad and that my ears aren’t making stuff up

Hi, the acorahs! Are you sure it's not just a guitar part or something? Now I have to check that out again!

Never noticed that before but yes, it does sound like a frog.

That's what I was thinking, fbc. Here's the frog on the front cover (bottom right).

Never noticed before but I hear it now.
It does indeed sound like a frog.

I can't say i've noticed, but I'm usually playing along turned up to 10. I'll go take a listen.

(maybe that's why there's a frog inside the inlay of Bossanova. The other images relate to songs in some way)
