Posted - 04/19/2006 : 03:18:47 The front cover of this excellent bootleg shows Joey, Frank and Kim on stage, but also (on the extreme left) a mysterious guitarist which I'm unable to identify. Does anyone know who it is or may be? :-o

i support the roadie hypothesis. definitely no keys on the album, and this is definitely not a guitar.
It IS a guitar, sir, the picture clearly shows it (I mean, the "original" picture, not the one I posted above). If I wasn't absolutely sure of that I wouldn't have posted this topic!

Posted - 04/19/2006 : 09:27:53 i have this record on vinyl. i don't think its joeys brother, who, i think, is a bit more heavier and not as tall than the guy on the record. i support the roadie hypothesis. definitely no keys on the album, and this is definitely not a guitar.

Posted - 04/19/2006 : 05:18:29 Thanks all. I had never heard of Bob Santiago before but obviously benji is right. Anyway, I'm sure the man is not a roadie nor a keyboarder.

Posted - 04/19/2006 : 04:17:04 well it makes sense that it's bob santiago. he played on many (if not most or all) of the trompe le monde dates. for eg - he played with them at the brixton academy shows from 2 weeks prior to this show. |

Posted - 04/19/2006 : 04:07:26 Don't try to guess with what you have heard about the Pixies. Try to find the easier answer: He's behind a curtain. he's just tuning a guitar for Frank. Any info about the record (year?) Is it a photo of the gig? Bootlegs cover are somtimes full of mistakes. |
