What really gets my goat though, is when they write "Kim Deal got a hit with 'Cannonball', enough to make Frank jealous, as he recorded, with The Catholics, a patchy series of records, except for the excellent 'Honeycomb'." This is typically from someone who hasn't bothered listening to any of Frank's music and base their judgment on what they read on metacritic or something. Boo.

Exactly what I was thinkin' :)

Thanks Jedi. I wouldn't be too surprised to find a similar article in 'Metro', the local free paper. I'll try to have a look at it today.

When will Lyle Workman find Frank again?

You know, it's your usual, run-of-the-mill Pixies-for-the-layman stuff: they were the "godfathers of grunge", Cobain wanted to be one of 'em and admitted that "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was blah blah blah, Bowie was sad when they broke up and Yorke says they're the greatest band in the world; Frank broke up the band by announcing it on the BBC without warning the others, there was "enduring hatred" between band members for ten years (!) but now they're reconciled and considering the recording of a new album...

They also say that 33 different bands/artists covered "Where Is My Mind?". Sounds like a lot.
