Posted - 06/16/2005 : 17:36:05 Yeah the bossonova inlay card was the first time i had seen the pixies also... it just added to the mystery of the band - they seemed so normal! and then in '96 when i got access to the web, all i did was try and find out more, because before that it was almost impossible (for me, anyway) to find interviews, reviews, whatever.. but the mystery always remained... but i suppose now that the pixies are everbody's favourite band, and there is interviews and pics everywhere... it has taken a little away from the mystery and the question that almost every pixie fan must have asked - who and what the f**k are these guys??!! and how?! |

Posted - 06/16/2005 : 16:18:21 very nice pics indeed. while the noise came out of my speakers in the beginning, i was unaware of what they looked like. and i wanted to know. when i finally got my hands on a copy of Bossanova, it was the first time i'd seen the Pixies.

Posted - 05/31/2005 : 08:56:38 just as a BTW, i have the tour programme magazine from the trompe le monde tour, and inside there are four different pictures that were not included on the bossonova sleeve, ie - same photos shoot, same clothes etc but different poses and stuff... |

Posted - 05/31/2005 : 01:47:01 They're pretty hard to come by on the net. I'm not sure if i've seen them yet either, it's been that long in lookin' Vaughan Oliver, Simon Larbalestier and Anne Garrigues contributed to the cover so maybe they have some clue I don't know what 4AD are like at correspondance, but they may be your best bet
A better idea, and one which will do both you AND the band a favour is, buy the record again. Maybe those few dollars Frank and Co. will get to see helped pay for one drumstick and three plectrums. Next time you see them live, it's because of you they rock the best.
