Posted - 02/17/2005 : 01:50:27 I was listening to the great B-52's CD compilation. Also saw them coupla yrs ago. They were very underrated in my opinion.
But the thing I really thought about was some real similarities to Frank's solo stuff as well as Pixies stuff:
1) Great Sense Of Humour in the songs
2) Beautiful, lilting female harmonies ( Kate P and Cindy W reminding me of Kim)
3) The interplay bet The male and female vocals, if you will
4) A lot of songs re: OUTER SPACE thingees

Frank is a much better dancer onstage, though, than Fred Schneider. In fact, I remember seeing Frank do ALL 16 dances one night while playing with the Catholics in St. Petersburg. |
