Posted - 04/04/2007 : 07:13:39 anyone have any suggestions? I can’t log into the forum on my home computer. (I’m using a different computer right now) I can access the site, and read posts, but can’t log in, so I can’t post! I get this error message when I first go to the site…..
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e57'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated.
/inc_func_common.asp, line 585
Then I get this when I try to login…..
This error (HTTP 500 Internal Server Error) means that the website you are visiting had a server problem which prevented the webpage from displaying.
For more information about HTTP errors, see Help. (use bold)
I tried using spyboot and microsoft defender to clean things up, but no success yet.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thxs.

Posted - 04/05/2007 : 17:48:20 That's highly odd, I have no problems logging in using the same script. It doesn't sound like a browser thing, but it could be I suppose. Most of those errors are server-side, unless some bad info is being sent by the browser as you try to login. Not much help, I'm sorry, but I'll think on it.

Posted - 04/04/2007 : 10:10:13 Which browser are you using, IE7? Have you tried using different browsers? Or maybe you could try uninstalling your current browser and reinstalling, sometimes that will fix random software madness.
As you can probably tell from my suggestion i am a highly skilled computer expert! |
