Posted - 12/10/2006 : 11:58:22 Lately, when I log out of FB.Net I'm logged in when I return to the site. I have idea the problem may be at my end, probably to do with Internet Explorer 7. In any case, I'm just wondering if anyone else was experiencing this, and it anyone knows what it could be. Thank you, over and out! |

Posted - 06/21/2007 : 16:47:25 I think it is working as per usual on my end, but it may explain some problems thar have occured for other people. I never use the log-out! |

Posted - 06/21/2007 : 00:27:46 OK, well I took auto-detect proxy settings off...and the problems disappeared.
I still can't log-out. |

Posted - 06/21/2007 : 00:23:27 I'm having real strange problems.
This is happening on this one computer only, Windows XP SP2.
If I log on with the save password checked off I get an OBDC error.
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e57'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated.
/inc_func_common.asp, line 585
The page does not reload when I logon, I get the default page-not-found.
I cannot log out if the save password is checked off.
I clear the cookies, logon without save password checked, it says the last time I was logged on was June 11th.
And now I see I can't post! I get:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e57'
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]String or binary data would be truncated.
/post_info.asp, line 1044

Posted - 12/15/2006 : 09:38:54 I've no need to log out, it just happens on it's own. Other than this, the only other little glitch I come across is when trying to log back in. If I tick 'save password', I'm told I'm successfully logged in, but I'm not. So, I don't do tick. |

Posted - 12/15/2006 : 06:52:51 I was going to say the same thing, but I suppose if you've been in internet cafes it can be problematic.
The bigger problem to me though is it also affects the login.

Nope, but as you say, it's not really much hassle.

Posted - 12/14/2006 : 06:16:44 Ok, contrary to the panic mail I sent you (couldn't log in first), after closing the browser AGAIN, I'm on permanent log-in again.
Is anybody else having difficulties logging in or out? Carl? Did you manage to solve it?
It's nothing really serious, only a bit annoying.
Thnks everyone.

Posted - 12/13/2006 : 15:10:07 Do me a favour, try this: Log out and close your browser. Does it then work?

Posted - 12/13/2006 : 13:28:20 I still have that problem. I always get the "You logged out successfully!" message, but never actually log out.
As suggested I tried removing all my cookies, which helped, but only one time. Right afterwards, it again wouldn't let me log out. And I'm experiencing this on different computers.

Posted - 12/12/2006 : 17:14:34 Haha, yeah, it's the forum's worst nightmare!
Seriously though, I've never had this problem before. Of course, as Dean said, clearing the cookie is one way around it. |

Posted - 12/11/2006 : 08:45:50 Yeah, it's cookies. You don't log out unless you ask to. Or delete the cookie.

Posted - 12/11/2006 : 08:16:14 Thanks for the help, guys. It's not a serious problem, but I'm glad to know it's not an annoying issue with my IE7 settings, and that I'm not alone with this.

Posted - 12/11/2006 : 02:38:01 Hmm, I never actually log out anyway, I just close the window and I'm logged in every time I come back. Does closing the window log you out automatically or have I been permanently logged in for 15 months?

Posted - 12/10/2006 : 13:54:10 Yeah, something's amiss... probably to do with the mod we did in order to tie into the comments system of the Discopedia. I guess I'll be asking Dave for some help. :)

Posted - 12/10/2006 : 13:43:15 I noticed the same thing for the last couple of days. I'm using firefox 1.0.7, so it can't be the browser. |
