I don't really know how best to explain this. On some message boards, if you hold your mouse arrow up to the title of a thread, a little yellow box comes up containing the first several lines of text in that thread. This is a very nice feature to have, as it allows you to be able to get a general idea of the contents of a thread before you waste time clicking on it and waiting on it to load up. Anyways, does anyone else know what I'm talking about? And would that be possible to do on this forum?

On some sites if you list it as one of your favourites in IE6 an icon appears.I'd love to see a Frank icon...

Yep, not a fun job.. I guess you'll just have to read the entire thread. =)

yeah i just searched after, exporting stuff from snitz to vbulletin would be extremely problematic, if not impossible.

Afraid we won't be switching forum software in the foreseeable future. HUGE pain in the <bleep> and there's lots of stuff we'd lose forever. Still, thanks for the heads up.

one thing, it costs $160 for an owned liscence....
not that much though. lasts forever and free updates for a year i think.

look here. i think this forum has the latest version of vbulletin.

look at all the lovely features.

hovering over a thread gives you the first few lines
anouncements
the last thread posted in aswell as who did it on the forum overview
who's online and what they're viewing (option to be invisible)
birthdays come up if you enter your date of birth (think someone requested this before)
see how many times each person has replied in a thread by clicking the number in the "replies" column
similar threads at the bottom of each thread
search feature that WORKS
avatars (picture next to name)
private messaging. like email for the forum.
ability to ignore members so posts don't show up
event reminders

these are just examples on that forum, but it is so customisable, and there are so many add on features. you can chose to not use some of the above features, or you can chose to add more (points system, RPG, arcade etc.)

OH and i just thought of one which would really fucking help those people trying to create a new look for fb.net

the ability for admins to create several layouts, using different colours, banners, icons, themes etc. you could have one for each album or something, and leave it up to users to decide which one they like!

some of you may find that it looks weird, but trust me you get used to it after a few days,

I know what you're talking about but I'm not sure if it's possible here.
