Hey guys; do any of you know if this is the same David Philips who played pedal steel on the last Mr. Bungle record and with Charlie Hunter as well? Just curious. |

I heard that too and was kind of excited cause the replacements were good and although he didnt play, frank is the man. but i heard a couple songs and they just weren't very outstanding. |

Surprisingly, I heard Dave mentioned on the radio today. Tommy Stinson (former bass player for the Replacements) was promoting his new solo album, and he mentioned that Frank and Dave let him use their gear and studio, or something like that.

I'm pretty sure it's him. He played on the Preston School of Industry album, too. He gets around.
