(my first foray into frank solo.)

it wasn't what i expected, though i'm not sure what i expected.

it was warmer, more human.

still on the first time thru, already heard one i will cover, don't know names yet, digesting.

i want to hug him, and shelter him.

love,

betty

I literally listen to it at least once a day and every time I discover something new and excellent.

Listen to Two Reelers ten times in a row.

Same for Superabound.

Ditto for Bad Wicked World...

play it LOUDLY!!!

now go buy Frank Black and listen to Two Spaces ten times...

betty, i was thinking last night that i really like how you ended your first post here: "i want to hug him, and shelter him." i feel very protective of frank, not in a sexual way or anything, but cognizant of his specialness and a certain perceived fragility or something. in other words, he rocks

Better than be the hostess with the moustache

Sorry, a bad joke

Rock on, sister Betty! You can now refer to yourself as "the hostess with the mostess."

thats a pretty bizarre phillisophical post for an album that isn't really an emotional record, more purely a work of creative genius that rocks.
msg ends

Don't turn back, Betty. You're in for the ride of your life!!! Enjoy ...
VoVat Posted - 08/30/2004 : 13:12:36
You're on your way! Soon, you'll be a fan of Frank's for more than just his ability to serve as sandwich filling. Beware, though. It might be too late to turn back!

first time thru TOTY, eh?
I envy you...I know the album so well now, I can pretty much listen to it in my head without it even playing. Well, not quite, but you get the idea.

what's the name of the song you were going to cover? didn't even know you sang or played an instrument...
