So I guess this hasn't been mentioned here yet. What have Scott Boutier and Dave McCaffrey been doing while the Catholics are on hiatus? Well back on Saturday, April 24, 2004, they teamed up with Mark Mulcahy for a gig at The Daffodil Festival in Meriden, Connecticut. As some of you may know (if not, http://www.frankblack.net/bio/ ), the 3 played together in the bands Miracle Legion and Polaris back before Scott and Dave were plucked by Frank for his band. I think this Miracle Legion/Polaris reunion was a one-off, but who knows.

The setlist was a mix of Polaris, Miracle Legion, and solo Mark Mulcahy songs..

1. She is Staggering
2. All For The Best
3. Madison Park
4. Sea Hag
5. Saturnine
6. Hey Self Defeater
7. Hey Sandy
8. A Heart Disease Called Love
9. Ivy Boy
10. Will You Wait
11. Bill Jocko
12. Waiting For October
13. I Wish I was Danny Kaye

Pete And Pete reruns were being shown in recent history on cable. I can't remember which channel...it was like, 2 years ago...on digital cable. Nick 2 I think. Love love love that show. There was an episode where younger Pete had a song in his head and played with a band. I think it was Polaris, but I could be wrong. Anyone remember that episode?

EDIT: I found the episode. It is indeed Polaris.

I guess I just wasn't made for these times.

there is no pete/pete DVD...ive seen bootlegs with questionable quality that are just TV-rips

nickelodeon has a very spotty history on how it handles its properties. while its sister-company mtv will unload everything they have on vhs/dvd, the brains at nickelodeon are in constant head-butting with the creators of its products and how its distributed.

its only been a few months since enough people bitched to let Invader Zim be released on DVD and nick didnt even release it, the rights were sold to a smaller company.

if you search around on the net you can find examples of how nick strangles its properties, Angry Beavers being one of the stickier projects...good cartoon, btw...

Damn, okay, something else to find, is there a Pete and Pete DVD out there? I noticed there are VCDs on ebay now and again, but I'd rather a DVD....
Have any of you seen the episode where Stu the bus driver gets stuck at a red light?

By the way, did Polaris ever release anything other than the 'Music from Pete and Pete' CD?
I've never found anything, anywhere, ever.

Woohoo, my bios are finally getting read. I suppose I should find some time to update Davey P's and add all those other characters. Life is too busy around here in the summer.

Polaris did the theme for "the Adventures of Pete and Pete" right?

What was the name of that song?

-Edit-

Nevermind. I read Scott's bio.
