Posted - 06/11/2004 : 00:23:08 I am obsessed with this album. It might be my favorite album ever. I just got 13 new CD's worth of music in the past week, but this is still the album that I want to hear whenever I'm opening my mp3 playlists. Every song is brilliant; they feel like the soundtrack to my life. Thank you, Frank. |

Posted - 06/14/2004 : 02:21:41 Black Letter Days is a great album. Up there with Dog in the Sand and self titled for the best Catholics releases. Devil's workshop, the sister album, sounds less complete. But, jeez, it still rocks. You can't get enough of the man. |

Posted - 06/12/2004 : 08:53:11 I got BLD whilst driving across the (my) country.. somewhere in middle america, tried one highway town but nowhere sold cds. Thus it was named "The Town with No Music, (saddest little town in the world)" Town #2- bounty o-plenty .. but BLD basically jumped into my arms, performed CPR, thereby resuscitating my enchantment with Frankie B's musiq - and happy driving from there on.. And happy collecting the albums I missed during my FB hiatus. Good times, and a story to tell the grandkids! BLD is my fave too |

Posted - 06/11/2004 : 16:57:23 I think BLD would make a great soundtrack to a grainy old-looking black and white road movie.

Posted - 06/11/2004 : 03:24:55 I bought Black Letter Days and Devils Workshop on the same day, and spurned Devils for quite a while, falling in love with BLD almost immediately and playing it to death. I've kind of re-evaluated Devils since, these albums really do sit as two distinct sides of Franks music, they're such surprisingly different albums, but both fine, fine works.
