Ok, well I'm new here.. it seems my very first post got deleted - so - trying to stay positive i'll give it another go

Er, collaberations: Who would you like to see Frank work with?

That teenage fanclub CD is some of his best work IMO, who else do you think he'd work well with?

I think it'd be cool to see him make something with neil young (winterlong duet maybe? )

Opinions?

Willie Nelson...on "My Fave Kiss"

I'd drive to Austin city limits to see that!

I would like Frank and Robert Smith. They're friends after-all. And Bowie too.

I would LOVE to see FB work with Scott McCaughey (and maybe Ken Stringfellow) of The Minus 5.

Frank Black and DGA of, the Ultra Cool Rock Band, PaliN. It would blow your mind... (shameless plug)

But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
Little Black Francis Posted - 05/20/2004 : 15:02:58
Los Lobos would be cool, they've got a big band and some killer guitar players

Dave Thomas was the guy who founded Wendy's fast food restaurants, naming them after his daughter Wendy. Wasn't there also a Dave Thomas on Laugh-In or something?

Not The Wendy's guy (I don't know him. Who is he?), but Pere Ubu's guy. He is alive, I'm sure.

I bought a CD of 'David Thomas' before, but when I heard his crystal clear voice, I realised that it was another David Thomas...there are so many David Thomas!

Mike Ness, Ken Stringfellow, Asian Dub Foundation, Air, Weezer.. but he's quite fine by himself as well.

Now I'm just employed

I'd love to hear the result of Frank Black working with Prince. Either an FB production of Prince or a straight collaboration. Somehow I'm not sure Prince producing FB would quite work, but I'm probably wrong.
Mickey Posted - 05/17/2004 : 01:13:12
also, Elvis Costello

I would love to hear Frank with Bruce Springsteen, Morrissey, Mick Jones, Dave Grohl, Tom Petty. It might be interested to hear him with a more alternative rapper like Del tha Funkee Homosapien. Most of all I'd like to hear something new with Kim Deal.

Frank Black and Robert Pollard seems nice. And, of course, Beck.

Thanks BLT.

Yeah, I'd love to see FB with a female artist, too. It'd be cool if there were a female catholic, actually, 'cause man I dig female backing vocals.

I agree with. I hope Frank will sing with a female artist who has a cute and sexy voice (like Vanessa Paradis).

OR with David Thomas! They will create something byond all conception. It will be cool, I'm sure!
