So the first section obviously morphed into "Dog in the Sand" oh-so-many years later, but have any aspects of the other sections of "Surf Epic" turned up in later Frank songs?

I have the Ego vinyl 12" it's on. Only listened to it maybe once though! This is like a continuation of the 'Something Against You' arguement!

CARL.

you forgot after about 6 minutes it goes

bing bing bing bing bing tadada bling
bing bing bing bing bing tadada bling

then after 8 minutes it turns into a little ditty that could have easily been the soundtrack to The Legend of Zelda II video game for Nintendo.

I love this song!

Wow...I don't ever need to throw on a Frank Black cd again! I'll just to renditions of all the songs in "pom pom" format. Thanks Adnan! You're a genius

the "hang on to your ego" CD single is pretty easy to find.

Just FYI.

Not that I've heard, but he's very tricky. I chatted with Eric Drew Feldman once about this song, around a year before Dog In The Sand came out. They were debuting a bunch of songs off of that album, and I complimented him on the adaptation. I thought I asked him about the rest of Surf Epic, and as far as I can remember he didn't know of anything else coming from that song. That was, of course, several years ago. Maybe it's changed. Maybe I'm completely off base.

"And her head has no room."
