Posted - 03/01/2004 : 14:17:42 Hi People.
I'm about to burn myself a massive 3 or 4 disc Frank Black B-side collection. I was wondering if anyone could point out any tracks I'm missing that are worth hunting down, and maybe where I could find them. Also, were Belle Isle or Somethings, which Frank mentioned being on the preposed Snake Oil comp, ever released? And if so, when? Thanks.

Somebody should send a note to Ebay about this. Selling cdr's of original stuff is lame.

I burned two four disc sets, one for myself and one for my younger brother. I called each disc Handy Man, Man of Steel, Skeleton Man, and Constant Sorrow Man, cause those respective tracks appear on those discs, and I noticed that trend.

Thanks everyone.
I actually had the Bowie Songs, the Shrimp Song, the DITS demos, and the Nadine Ep already. They were in a different file and I must have forgotten them when making my list. My apologes for wasting people's time.
I found Jail Guitar Doors, Coming to Los Angeles, and la chanson des crevettes thanks to you guys. Is La Chanson des Cervettes actually a song? Cause all I found was a clip of just frank chatting casually in french about something or other.
I still can't find the Hello Recording Club, the I Don't Wanna Hurt You live eps, Local Girls, and the End Of Miles demo for the life of me. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.
And langdonboom, my copy of John the Revelator comes from a radio show off the ftp. Its the same show that has the shrimp song, I believe
once again, thanks all

It's the French "Shrimp Song" I haven't listened to it in a while so I don't really remember it but I guess it's just him speaking the lyrics to the Shrimp Song in French
ˇViva los Católicos!
yes that's what is it,though i hadn't realized that it was the shrimp song translated.thanks for the hint

Alienation confers freedom. Obscurity will keep you pure. Pray that you won’t be discovered young, so that you won’t be tempted to sell out early, or won’t be seduced by celebrity.

That's all I can think of.

Breathless freatures Frank with the Stax Pistols and is from 'Brace Yourself! A Tribute To Otis Blackwell' from 1994, which also had Handy Man on it.
Go Home Girl is from a trubute album called Adios Amigo. That's also where Old John Amos comes from.
Run is from the Gordon Gano solo disc called Hitting the Ground. Its relatively new and features frank singing all manic-like and screaming, which he really doesn't do enough these days.

Thanks! I'm listening to Frank Black and David Bowie on Fashion and Scary Monsters on the 50th birthday thing. They're live, but the sound quality is great, maybe you could add those
