Ok, so I was thinking today of what a Frank Black and Catholics greatest hits album would look like, and was wondering what all you guys and girls thought. And I'm not necessarily listed all my favorites, but realistsically what songs would make it if such an album came out, so heres my short humble list, give me your opinion

Dog Gone
Solid Gold
Robert Onion

not meaning to be disrespectful, but a greatest hits collection would have no songs on it. Unfortunately, I can't recall FB and the C's ever having a "hit" A "Best of " for me would go something like this:

All my ghosts
Dog Gone
Western star
Billy Radcliffe
85 Weeks
St. Francis Dam Disaster
Bullet
Dog in the Sand
Valentine and Garuda
I will run after you
End of Miles
Velvety
San Antonio, TX
Are you Headed My Way?
Everything is new
My Favorite Kiss
This old Heartache
Coastline

So, this is clearly the Best of Frank Black and not FB & TC's, right? Cause those are two different lists for me...

Why does Calistan get left out? That is surely one of FB's greatest songs.

"You one of those right wing nut outfits?" inquired the diplomatic Metzger.
Fallopian twinkled. "They accuse us of being paranoids."
"They?" inquired Metzger, twinkling also.
"Us?" asked Oedipa.

I made my brother and a friend a best of Frank Black CD a while back, it ended up being two discs and close to 50 songs. I figure a real greatest hits would be what he released as Singles and a few favorites that he always plays live. Until then, just buy it all and love it all. Can't wait for the B-Sides collections to come out.

I would add Manitoba and put Czar as a secret live track.

You include the pre-catholics period, I see. Here is my list, though it's pretty difficult to make a greatest hits without putting 60 songs on it :

1) Los Angeles
2) Fu Manchu
3) Headache
4) Speedy Marie
5) Two Reelers
6) The Marsist (I know everyone would like Men in Black instead, but the marsist is sooo relevant now)
7) The Last Stand of Shazeb Andleb
8) Dog Gone
9) All my Ghosts
10) St Francis Dam Disaster
11) Bullet
12) If it takes all night
13) End of Miles
14) The Farewell Bend
15) Massif Centrale
16) Horrible Day

Have some wine, please, don't run away.
