I’m thinking for me it’s Virginia Reel. I listen to that thing a ton.
I think it’s telling that I knew right away no 2.0 song would make my list.
Thoughts? |

Wow, never heard Annie Bliss (refuse to listen to the whole album since the radio guy's commentary is infuriatingly shite). Nice.
Many great tracks on LTPS.

Painter Man Is Coming is probably the best song he's been involved in in recent times. Future of the Left creativity + Black Francis' vocals = my wet dream basically.
Plaster of Paris, Custom All The Way, Stars, Oona, Il Cuchaio, Alabaster, Virginia Reel, Run Boy Run and Baals Back are a few I play semi-regularly. |

Agree with those who there is more to IC than HC. I'd say HC is more coherent and IC has more flaws, but IC has far more depth. |

I thought everybody said that Magdelena sounds like pure Bossanova? |

Posted - 06/05/2019 : 22:34:29 I always still go back to the 1.0 era. Album survivor has inspired me to revisit some solo stuff recently though, otherwise I never find the space (always so much good stuff coming out from other bands)
Virginia Reel is a good song and should have been on the album. |

Posted - 06/05/2019 : 14:20:09 Lately I've been really into those Christmass extra songs like She's My Way, Deadman's Curve, etc...it's weird, for me these are some of the greatest songs he's ever written but this era has a lot of songs that feel kind of hidden in the margins. |
