Where do you see some clear (or not so clear) David Lynch influences in the lyrics, sounds, and images of Charles' work?
The new album's cover art reminds me of the baby from Eraserhead.
Obviously they cover a David Lynch song from Eraserhead.
There is the reference to Peter Radiator in I Gotta Move.
The lyrics to Caribou remind me of industrialization and birth, two Lynchian themes.
And I think you could argue that Lynch has been doing loud quiet loud for a long time.
What else do you guys see / hear / feel? |

I could definitely see some Twin Peaks influence in that song, whether subconscious or from a dream, or even outright.
I wonder if the man is watching season 3. Hopefully not on his phone. |

Posted - 06/03/2017 : 11:11:19 The lyrics to The Modern Age always struck me as Lynchian.
Also, Lost Highway has the song 'Eye' by Smashing Pumpkins. It was supposed to be 'Ana' by Pixies but for some reason it had to change (not sure of reason!)

Chromatics lent themselves well to the dream pop sound of the original Julee Cruise I thought.

Did they always end each episode in the OS like this?
I think some of BF's more dreamy Havalina-esque works would fit in well with the pathos of the series. |
