Posted - 03/11/2011 : 00:06:09 Having listened to and become obsessed with this song over the last year or so, i thought i would start a thread here to get a feel for what forum members think about it.
IMO i believe this relatively short song is good enough to join the list of BF's most inspired songs. For me the atmosphere, melody and sinister tone of this tune, ranks it up alongside some of Black's best. i think it's up there with Man of Steel, So.Bay, So hard to make things out, The adventure and the resolution, Tight black rubber, White noise maker etc. etc, (if i was to list all my faves we'd be here for a while)
Songs like this are for me, pure BF. Aural f*cking cinema. Nobody does these kind of soundscapes like BF. It's raw, pure and i think its great.
What do you guys think of this one?
(Oh how I wish I could) Stay

Posted - 03/11/2011 : 16:40:10 i'm with you, sam. it's definitely one of my favorites off that alb(um). both versions are noyce, but the shorter, actual verzh [version] is very very very very... good.

Posted - 03/11/2011 : 07:11:11 I think it's great as part of the movie, but it's never done much for me as a stand-alone song. But I know what you mean about FB's aural soundscapes. The last two tracks on Cult of Ray (Shazeb Andleeb and the title track) are my own nirvana. |
