Which song from the golem soundtrack do you feel syncs best with its use in the film?
For me i'd have to say Custom All the Way and The Flower Song.
Custom All the Way gives both a feeling of doom and chaos (particularly in the opening and closing sections) and the joy of celebration in the middles sections, in a way that I think really works.
As for the Flower Song, who wasn't touched by that bit, really!

Still, point well made, Dan. Overall, it's a very comforting album. And yeah, that Golem shit is bizarre.

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

You're Gonna Pay transforms a bloke in a funny wig doing his nut into an unstoppable raging goliath wreaking insane bloody vengeance on innocent lovers. You're Gonna Pay is scary.

Just remember, a foot is symbolized by ', not ". You wouldn't like a Golem in danger of being crushed... by a dwarf.

THE CONJURING!! frank's voice is fantastic...haunting...

...this would be a great opening song for a live show...smoke coming up filling up the stage...then a 10 foot GOLEM entering....(sorry my first ever rock concert was iron maiden and i've always been in awe of eddie.)

Bad News, definitely. It even has the meowing guitar at the end when the black cat creeps along the rooftop, after the great chest-beating scene in the temple.

my favorites were Bad News, Makanujo, and The Flower Song. i thought they all fit pretty well, though, despite what pot says. where is pot, anyway?

For now I agree. I think I'm gonna watch the film again soon though so I could end up changing my mind.

While there are many great moments in the film: Stars, Obedient Servant, Custom All The Way, Flower Song, etc. I think my fave is You're Gonna Pay (near the end) it just works so well in that portion of Golem, imo.

The only place is the black francis webstore - it's a handmade, autographed, limited edition book (500 copies) with four cds and the dvd.

Before seeing the entire movie on YouTube, I had seen related videos for The Flower Song and You're Gonna Pay with vocals, and so far those are the ones I remember the best. The first version of The Word was a great discovery too, there are some parts in different songs / instrumentals that works in my opinion, but as a whole, I'd say You're Gonna Pay and The Flower Song for the moment.

agreed!

it just occurred to me that Der Golem looks a whole lot better on my imac than it does on my old ass tv. The brights and lows are balanced and easier on the eyes.

The music also lends itself to web surfing. Dare I say this is the first real release of multi media?
