i wasn't as blown away, excited or as thrilled when i first heard this as when i first heard "threshold Apprehension"
But i could see it as a grower

i think it's the most kick ass rock and roll song he's made in a while. usually the songs that are chosen as singles by him are usually not in my opinion the best on the album (although still awesome) but this one kicks ass. one of the best songs of the year by any artist.

In "The Possibility of an Island" There are three main characters, Daniel, and two of his clones.
Daniel is the six legged man.

This is what urbandictionary.com has to say about a "six legged dog":
1. Two dogs humping.
2. A way of describing the doggy style position.
3. A dog (or person) on all fours being mounted from behind. The mounting dog (or person) provides the rear two legs.

'Threshold...' is amazing, since it's got far richer production than the other 'Bluefinger' songs, yet sounds raw at the same time. I rather wish 'Six Legged Man' was the same. Maybe it's just the mix. |

I never get tired of the cattle rancher yelps that he sometimes brings to his songs to help guide them through the canyons like here on Six Legged Man. He's at his best when he lays down that stamp of authority on a song.
I love Six Legged Man but I wouldn't have minded if it had sounded twice as big and loud and rich. That's some narrow canyon.

It's still an amazing song though, and the production is great. While it might not be as mindblowing as threshold, it might not be fair to compare the two - it'd be like comparing all of his stuff to Los Angeles - TH is a force to be reckonned with!

it think you're right in thinking this song deserves its own thread. i love it. a lot. EDF does have a style that he brings, and it's one that really works for me, and honestly, for frank too. i enjoy what all of his producers (himself included) bring to each record, but EDF + Frank = a force to be reckoned with.
