Far superior to th pixes version, although that was just a demo.
I love it the whole way. Very fun and playful.
Has amazing sounding acousatic layers. With a scratcy sound all the way through.
Definatley makes you feel like you are out on the kings highway.
Short, to the point and even through in the f word for good measure.
Evil and plafiul. Pure frank.
Fav line - "By now you know that he was fucked, by now you know he had no luck, he was smashed head on by a giant truck, down mexico waaaaaayyyyyyyy."

Posted - 11/09/2009 : 12:17:29 I love this song; so simple and so powerful and I think it's placed perfectly on the album. I enjoy all the different versions I've heard, studio, live with the Catholics (I really recommend this one) and although I've only heard a snippet of the Pixies version I think it sounded great.
Back to the album version, I really love that quick strum right at the beginning of the track...it's like taking a quick breath before diving into the song. |
