Posted - 08/25/2009 : 01:31:36 Now there's some distance and the heat from the songs has cooled the lasting impression of the album for me is how complete and honest it is. Charles writes great, plays great, sings great sure but the thing that really marks him out for me is the impartiality in his storytelling; the world doesn't need dressing up. It's fine as is.

Posted - 08/21/2009 : 14:52:59 I do remember, it was brilliant. After the (personal) disappointment with Fastman Raiderman, it was immense. I remember calling my girlfriend and telling her about it and saying "HE SOUNDS LIKE FUCKING BEASTIE BOYS"
Really good album, seemingly fairly underrated on here.
