Posted - 10/15/2007 : 20:53:19 I love this part in Virginia Reel. Makes me laugh every time I hear it. "15% off if you have a student card, you gotta have a student card to get the discount........City Bus Rules!"
I think he was just ad-libbing (or is it adding lib)and he/they decided to keep it, it's great.
The waxworks were an immensely eloquent dissertation on the wonderful ordinariness of mankind. |

I like it so much I wrote it into an episode of my show "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends"
The two main characters happened to be waiting for the bus so I had one character say "City bus will be here soon." the other exclaims "City Bus Rules!"
It'll be on the air next year,
Craig
Hey Craig, Is this THE Mr. McCracken? Awesome to see you throw a nod in Foster's about City Bus Rules! Pray For The Girls is a personal Favorite by the way, Cheers for that! Chris

It sucks not hearing them, because I don't like iTunes.
I'll second that! |

basically, iTunes has two exclusive bonus tracks for Bluefinger, Polly's Into Me and Virginia Reel, although you can also get Polly's Into Me on eMusic.
Thanks, I'll have to pony up the $1.98 and get me some of that. Extra Bluefinger. Awesome

I wouldn't call these songs "extra Bluefinger." They're not in the Bluefinger vein at all. But they're certainly worth buying.
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

Virginia Reel floats my boat. Do you think it's wasted just being a bonus track? Aslong as we get to hear it, right? |

Every thought a ricochet...

Posted - 10/16/2007 : 05:34:54 I love that song too. The "Eric is a good dog" line is funny as well--gives me a chucekl in the car while listening. The song captures the drowzy, somber feelings of a long bus/trainride and somehow blends the mundane with humor (perhaps drunkeness) and a sense of the sublime. |
