Sorry if there is an old thread about this somewhere way back, but i just had to post this. i recently acquired this cd and i love it. i have been so enthused with Bluefinger that i didn't listen to this one until this morning. wish i had listened to it sooner. i wouldn't have expected a live cd to be this good. if he is always this good live, then i can't wait to see him live and in action. i am very grateful to have this cd.

When I first read about this "P3 Live" gig from my old home town (didn't find out about him playing till afterwards, grrr...) I had doubts about the song list. The openers - 666, Fiddle Riddle, Skeleton Man, and later Stupid Me - were my least favourite tracks from their respective albums at the time. I obviously had to think again. It's worth getting for the declamatory 666 or the country Fiddle Riddle alone. And I agree about the steel guitar adding a lot to Oddballs and others. Incredible versions of Dog Gone, All My Ghosts and Bullet...Coming Into Los Angeles is an excellent cover and I haven't heard it with better soun than here. Worth an official release.

You get one bee at 250 posts, two at 1,000, three at 2,500, four at 5,000, and five at 10,000. Nobody has six. Six means you are a sick person.

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

Ah ok. Got it.

Anyway, there are some outstanding versions on that show, like Fiddle Riddle or Oddballs. The slide guitar just rocks.

Was hoping you'd like it, awestruck. So glad to hear it was well-received. The sonic quality of that recording is amazing, and the performance can't be beat. I used to love the song "Bullet," and then I heard that version, and now I looooooooooove the song. Same with "All My Ghosts."

Here's to awestruck, the best new Frank Black fan of the decade. When you showed up with 75 posts your first weekend, just having heard The Man's music, I was sure you'd burn out pretty quickly. But you're settling in nicely. Does my heart good.

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

I love the Malmo show too. It was great to finally hear a live version of I've Seen Your Picture. I used to play it endlessly. I'm a picture editor so it holds a special interest for me. Kind of like a work song.

ok i went back to edit my post and for some reason it wouldn't let me do that. it said only the poster or the moderator could do that. I thought i was the poster... anyway, guess i need to clarify myself more clearly. I didn't just acquire the cd, i just happened upon the live recording. it is good and i wanted to comment on that. Thats my story and i am sticking to it...

This is a great performance by FB & the C's. Love it, too.

But I always assumed it was a just taped radio broadcast that floated around in the internet and never knew there was a real CD (still a bootleg I suppose) with artwork and liner notes. What does it look like?
