Posted - 05/02/2007 : 19:42:59 I've never bought the fact that this song was aboutr Jainism. it seems to me that it's really about his ex-wife Jean. As far as I know, it was during Black Letter Days and Devil's Workshop, that they were parting, and if you look at the lyrics it doesn't seem plausible that it's about a religion.
e.g. I've been so blue Sleeping till noon, darling Watching cartoons But I could not ease the pain I hear the phone line And I hope that isn't you Jane, she was my only love Jane, and though our love is done You are the only one Yeah that's just what you are
What do you guys think?
