So Hard to Make Things Out has a hair raising transition. Beautiful.

some of the biggies off the top of my head are
The Sad Punk So Hard To Make Things Out Jane the Queen of Love My Life Is In Storage (acoustic version is especially pronouned)

Posted - 05/04/2007 : 15:43:25 This doesn't really qualify but right now I'm hooked on the switch from chorus into second verse on Tight Black Rubber.
Tame definitely, So Hard To Make Things Out and the earlier Sad Punk and I bet this one's never been mentioned on the forum, Two Spaces. Shifts as sophisticated as Cole Porter's taste in cravats.

That section right there in Bartholomew. I don't know if it qualifies as a 'transition', at least compared to some of the big spectacular changes like in Los Angeles etc.., but there is something special about he way the verse flows into the chorus, i love it. |

Posted - 05/01/2007 : 16:31:13 I listen to that song over and over just because I love Frank's voice as he sings "Don't cry, dont' start, don't fret your poor heart, you know it's just another long black letter day". I was hooked the first time I heard it.
I don't know if Tame would qualify for exactly what this thread is about but his voice... you know how he sings in a voice sounding like a whisper (Hips like Cinderella) then he screams TAME... I LOVE IT!!!

Posted - 05/01/2007 : 14:47:40 Mr.Bisquitdoughhead, you just reminded me of an absolutely cherry transition: Black Letter Day. WOW!!
"Don't cry, dont' start, don't fret your poor heart, you know it's just another long black letter day". I love this part. The blend of transitions a masterpiece. |

Posted - 05/01/2007 : 14:21:52 In the Time of My Ruin is probably my favorite, I could never remember which song the "some pain feels good" part was in because the beginning sounds so different. The "falling all around" or whatever part has to be my favorite thing on FMRM.
And you? |
