Considering it was pretty obviously leaked from someone in his "inner circle", he can't really blame us for getting ahold of it. I'm sure he knows exactly who leaked it, and it seems to me that the person has leaked other stuff before. Therefore we have to assume somewhat reasonably that it was leaked somewhat on purpose or with some awareness.
And I don't think he can be too mad at 95% of us loving the hell out of it.

I am sure that I have read somewhere before that Frank doesn't mind people doanloading leaked albums. I think he knows that his fanbase is full of die hards, who do stupid things like buying 3 of his albums at a time. I wouldn't worry about it. The vast majority of people here will buy the album, so I don't think it makes a difference. Anyway, its probably Frank himself that leaks it... afterall most of his stuff gets leaked well before the release date. If he didn't like it then surely he would find out who the guilty party(ies) were and take action.

Perhaps, but on a subconcious level. With all the noise we've been making about the leak, and FB's deletion of his related posts, I've been worried that our favorite musician is disappointed with his fanbase. This is probably not true; I'm just worry wart.
I asked Violet because if FB was actually upset, he'd be less likely to respond. I'd love to hear his thoughts. As mentioned above, perhaps he's waiting like the rest of us to see how this pans out. I'm a little more at ease after reading the comments on the Honeycomb leak.

Maybe Frank's opinion does not equal Violet's opinion of Frank's opinion.

I don't think that FB tends to get mad at this sort of thing, especially because there is so little usable/reliable data for whether or not a leak affects sale numbers. I remember FB telling me in December 2004 that i shouldn't feel bad about listening to a Honeycomb leak, that it "wasn't a big deal."
From a publicity standpoint, a leak could drum up some legit interest from the mainstream press - or seriously quash it. We shall see how this all plays out...
And why just direct this thread to Violet? FB himself posts here as well - are we being reverse sexist now? :)
