Posted - 01/18/2007 : 15:14:14 I've never, ever heard it pronounced "ack," like FB does in this song. Not saying he's saying it "wrong," but putting his own twist on it -- probably for the sake of meter.
And aren't you havin' fun? |

Posted - 01/18/2007 : 14:56:46 I noticed the AK-47 thing, which was an endearing way to fit it into a song; as far as I am aware, it's commonly pronounced A-K 47. Gangsta rappers like N.W.A. (I believe) used to refer to the "A-K" as being their weapon of choice.

As for the "Who's your momma" line, someone else said that recently. Not sure what thread it was in. It's surely wrong, but transmarine wasn't the only one to hear it that way.

Brian & Dean's breakdown of this song on a recent podcast made a lot of sense. I had thought, too, that it was "Act 47," until Brian set me straight. And is it "going to the next one" or "gone to the next one"?
And aren't you havin' fun?
I'm fairly sure it is 'going' as opposed to 'gone' because the rest of the song is in present tense...the assassination is within seconds of happening.

Posted - 01/15/2007 : 10:15:25 I believe it's actually:
Ohh, Sadanand (movin' on)
In this article it states that Gyaneshwar was the founder of Sadanand Tatwagyan Parishad.

But I think your right about the AK 47 line I always thought it was Act 47 but AK makes more sense.
