just a reminder to all Rich Gilbert Fans that the joshua black wilkins EP, titled "pretty as a junkyard" produced by Rich Gilbert is now available. This is a rich CD all the way. He did all the guitar work, co-engineered, and was the sole producer. He and I go into the studio next Wednesday to start a stripped down record of vocals, acoustic guitar, and him on petal steel, organ, optigan, and various other instruments. I know this is a little self-promoting, but I thought you should know.
This CD can be found online at CDbaby, as well as itunes, and fine record stores.

Also, not sure if this has been mentioned but Rich plays guitar on the new Tanya Donelly CD "This Hungry Life".

I just got it today. Sounds great!

I wonder if Rich thinks he looks like Heroes period Bowie?

Hey son of nimrod, nice...you reached wayyyyyy back for that one. Helluva recollection you got there.
OldManInaCoffeeCan Posted - 12/05/2006 : 06:21:37
yeah, I got mine a few weeks ago at my favorite local record store.

"MAKE SURE I'M DEAD", gotta love Rich's abstract-sounding, full of feed-back Fender on this one.
JBW wrote this one in the studio while they were recording the EP.

Joshua's songwriting and Rich Gilbert's guitars and production...it don't get much better than that,
for me anyway

Count me in as a Rich Gilbert fan! I'll have to check the CD out (whenever I can scrape together the cash).

Thanks, JBW. Paid you back for listening to the songs from your myspace page.

Hopefully, your new record will bring you to Tampa/St.Pete.
