Jonathan Richman, that is. I think I read that somewhere. I hope so. Besides Frank, Jonathan is my favorite musician.

yeah, he does. And I've read more about it. How he thought his band was too loud so he kept them turning down and down until all that was left was the drummer hitting the side of his snare.... but it was still too loud!

It's definitely about Jonathan Richman. Frank introduces the song on one of the live recordings I have as 'a song about Jonathan Richman'
