has anybody noticed the extremely similar melody to "everybody loves somebody sometimes...", performed by dean martin ? (it was my girlfriend who told me...)

the dean-martin-song was written by Irving Taylor & Ken Lane, and it was recorded in 1964. i wonder if doug sahm's song was written later or earlier - ouldn't find it. the melody is so similiar one must have taken it from the other.
