Hi Frank,
If by some chance you read this, as a Pittsburgher, I just have to know the backstory behind "I'm not dead (I'm in Pittsburgh)". Maybe you can explain it when you come here in October. Pittsburghers are good sports. (Well, mostly.)

If you listen to Podcast #11 (www.frankblack.net/podcast) you can hear co-writer Reid Paley talking all about it.

Tame and Andy, i used to live in Pittsburgh (as did Reid actually...) when i was a student at Duquesne University, 2000-2004. I miss the steel city sometimes still. Have an Iron City and a Primanti's for me, will ya?

Im also from pittsburgh. although i dont like the song to much im pretty sure its about using smack in town. we live in a huge junk city.
