Posted - 08/24/2006 : 02:20:31 I read a quote from Frank a while back saying that he loved the production on Tom's albums. I agree and think a Waits produced Frank Black album would be amazing.
Really my only complaint about the last few FB releases is that the production sounds a little too "clean" even if they are live from 2 track or whatever- they don't have the grit of say Real Gone. Adding some unique Waitsesque instrumentation would be interesting also. This is not to say they aren't great albums- I love them.
At the very least I think this may signal the direction of Frank's future releases. I would welcome it.
