Posted - 08/10/2006 : 16:38:07 I have only recently worked out that Moris has played on an impressive list of FB's albums: Frank Black Teenager Of The Year Dog In The Sand Devil's Workshop & Black Letter Days.
Plus the recent I Burn Today + Nadine live takes with FB on Henry Rollins. Moris works with EDF too, so maybe they will both be on FB's new/forthcoming record.
Anyway, I'm not that familiar with MT's style and I'm finding it hard to pick exactly what he may have contributed on the FB albums. Picking up on Lyle, Rich or Joey's work is a bit more obvious. I'm assuming that MT does some lead guitar somewhere in there. Out of curiosity, can anyone pinpoint something specific..

Posted - 08/11/2006 : 07:44:23 I saw him at the Echoplex and your right, he's pretty much a mad man onstage. Veins popping out the side of his head and he was pretty much yelling the whole time, pointing at the crowd like he was testifyin'. PJ was on bass which was a pleasant surprise.

Posted - 08/11/2006 : 00:10:00 i saw him play at Spaceland about a year ago. it was a pretty good show. he was very lively on stage. and he had PJ Harvey come out as a guest at one point.
Giovanni Ribisi in the crowd and really into it. Morris seems to have some street cred

Posted - 08/11/2006 : 00:00:26 I have a Morris Tepper solo album called Big Enough To Disappear. Haven't listened much to it but I know it's pretty good. Reminds me a bit of Tom Waits (in fact he's played with him too, on Franks Wild Years according to allmusic.com).

Posted - 08/10/2006 : 19:06:13 Saw him open for Frank at The Mint (in '01, I think). He played a short acoustic set of his own material. I can't really describe it but it was good. Later he played with Frank's band, which wasn't really the Catholics at that show.
