Ok folks, here starts the massive task of trying to pin down as much about these tracks as possible. I've done some of the preliminary work, but this is a team effort.
Let's start by pinning down in which session each track was recorded in. This will help us narrow down who played on each track. Here is my list, which i'm sure is flawed somehow. All songs/persons marked with a question mark is a pure guess on my part. Anyone with info, please step in!

A mandoguitar sounds like a combo between (shock shock) a mandolin and a guitar - i don't hear one in the mix, but i also haven't really focused on it yet. I think there must have been overdubs on "Raiderman" and good call on the Violet and Dave Philips thing. Also, listening to "The End of the Summer" i've discovered i'm pretty sure that is where the Swan family is singing. I'll add all this in soon.

We're a bit stuck here. Just 2-3 thoughts I had:
* Dave Philips plays pedal steel on all 4 songs from the LA Session.
* It's Just Not Your Moment has female background vocals, that can only be Mrs Thompson-Clark.
* What does a mandoguitar sound like? And a ukulele? There's a strange sounding instrument on Holland Town, not sure it's an actual guitar.
* Also, I hear more than 2 guitars on Raider Man. Was there anyone else playing besides Frank and Duane, or did they do overdubs?

Mr. Tiven, thanks for clearing that up. Another question about "Dog Sleep": apparently, according to the above credits, there are two drum sets on that one. It sounds to my ears like it might be one drummer on the left and the other one on the right. Is that correct? If so, which drummer is which?

All the bass is electric, Dogsleep has two bassists, Bob Babbitt and Tom Petersson.
Backgrounds on Johnny B are Marty Brown, Billy Block, and I think Buddy Miller's in there as well.
I forgot that I'm playing alto on "Seven Days" as well as the section with Wayne Jackson.
"Sad Old World" was cut Oct 05 with Reggie, Cropp & Buddy et al.
I will consult with Big Boss Man and see if he'd object to me putting my semi-complete credits up.

Is the second bass in "Dog Sleep" that enters on the line "gettin' that dog sleep..." a contrabass or an electric bass? It's got that really thick sound that makes me think it's a contrabass.

I'm pretty sure its not for two reasons Dean. #1 - the tracklisting for disc 1 was leaked in late January 06, less than a month after the LA recording sessions. I think that turnaround is a bit too quick. #2 - there is clearly Baritone sax and trombone on those two tracks, and Wayne Jackson is only (apparently) playing on the 24 hour marathon session. Ditto for Lyle's guitar solo on "Dog Sleep" - Lyle wasn't present in L.A.
