Posted - 03/24/2006 : 01:17:40 in the liner notes to the headache single, there are numerous references to "john tiven". is this a typo, or a diferent tiven completely? or some third, less rational explanation...?
anyone know?

Yes. The first copy of TOTY that I bought had an acoustic version. it was used, so i don't know what release it was. maybe an import? well, anyways, i lost that copy and went out and bought a brand-new one. when i listened to it i was shocked to hear the non-acoustic version.

Thanks for reminding me about those backing vocals, they were fun to do. The session went by so quickly, and it was so long ago, much of it is a blur by now.

By the way, at the same session we cut a quasi-acoustic version of "Headache" but I'm not sure if it was ever issued. Anyone ever see one? bye, Jon Tiven
I have Headace (NYC Version) on my Japanese TOTY. Sounds like it could be a "quasi-acoustic" version. |
