I don't always trust people who are constantly self-depreciating.
I sometimes wonder if they just figured out a way to make other sensitive people feel sorry for them and therefore get some attention. That's pretty cynical, huh?

I seem to recall reading somewhere that "self-depreciating" is actually more correct than "self-deprecating." I don't remember where, though, and dictionary.com disagrees.

"Self-depreciating"? Yes I am, absolutely, when it's appropriate. It goes along with my keen sense of self-awareness.
Whenever I fuck-up, I eventually take a healthy dose of self-loathing, then some self-depreciating, then some self-assessment, and finally self-acceptance. |
