does anyone know anything about this and how it happened and has frank said anything about it or has dylan said anything about it. it's so cool, you can barely even hear frank if he is there, but i think he is. yeah...i can hear him. and they compliment eachother sooooooooo well.

anything?

Hi everyone,

I happened upon this thread during an internet search. I do a Wallflowers website so I can help with the Frank Black question. He sings on Letters from the Wasteland (it's on the album Breach). Here's an article where Jakob talks about his involvement:

There was a sticker on the CD mentioning the FB guest appearance. But I think he just does backing vocals that are almost undiscernable.
misterwoe: IMO the album is quite poor. Letters is the best song on it.

how could this information have slipped by the Frank Black think tank?

as a side note: there used to be a taco stand in LA called Uptown Taco in Studio City where, like many restaurants in LA, they had signed pictures of stars in there and whatnot. and there was a signed picture of Frank in there (he used to go there) as well as a Wallflowers one, signed by Dylan. maybe they used to hang otu and eat tacos ..

I'm pretty sure FB sang on it--I know there's a confirm. somewhere here in the threads. for some reason, however, I seem to remember that they might've trashed the version of "letters" on which FB leant vocals and the actual album version doesn't have FB on it...

I thought it strange when I saw that album title, Red Letter Days on the music shelf. I'm all like, "Hey, is this guy trying to shadow FB or what?"

So if Frank Black really sings on this record what does that mean? I haven't heard the album. Is it worth listening to? Would a Frank Black fan like it? Are Jacob Dylan and FB hanging out? What's going on here? What do I not know? Help me crawl through this quagmire of suspicion and enigma. Wait a minute...the enigma part rules!

Album: RED LETTER DAYS

Uh... I bought the album and listened to Letters a lot of times. But I don't hear any Frank in it. Are you sure he sings? I eventually thought he only played the guitar.

"Letter's From The Wasteland" is the track all right. I liked Frank's singing on it. He's a good singer.

i don't know what album it's on, but i think it's the same as the song. "letter's from the wasteland". it's so cool and retardedly full of emotion.
