Quite accurate.
You can add stuff if you want.

Yeah, I've not heard anything about that, I'm not sure it's factual. Maybe someone less lazy than I wants to post a question on there regarding its authenticity? His voice changing as he ages does not equate (necessarily) with vocal chord trauma.

his voice sounded fine on the reunion tour!
marcusb Posted - 04/26/2005 : 20:42:26
I'm also wondering about the vocal chords thing.. to me.. it seems he can scream _better_ than in the Pixies. Yeah,it's not as crazy as back then.. but he's also 40 now. I mean your voice changes a lot during then.

This is a cool entry. I would guess who ever wrote this was a true fan.

That's interesting that Frank worked at a Floral Shop. Interesting tidbit :)

In all honesty, this is a great site and maintained with passion and care. I'm sure Frank is proud of it.

Oh yeah, definately. I wasn't thinking along the lines of "lets make this site official", but it would be swell if you and Mr Noisy's services to the music was acknowledged in cash, you guys do an amazing job. Thanks for the reply, very interesting stuff indeed.

Well, not necessarily run, but approved. And it's not that we do anything that's not approved of, but it's the implication of their approval that is troubling I think. So they'd either have to check what we post officially before we post or run it.

The advantage would be that I'd get paid. :)

Aside from that last bit, I think that our current configuration is ideal for everyone.

Out of curiosity, Dean, what would it take for it to be official? Oh, this is a site run by 'fans', would it have to be run by his management?

Hey, dotnet' listed as a 'Semi Official Fansite'

No, semi-official is right, though I would also accept officially unofficial, unofficially official, quasi-official, and mouse trap.

Mun Chien, I will only answer you if you tell me who's that Frank Black.

If you could be anything that you want to be,
do you think that you would be who you see in the mirror?
mun chien andalusia Posted - 04/26/2005 : 07:14:28

At the top of the page, it says 'edit this page'.
shineoftheever Posted - 04/26/2005 : 01:34:18
how do you spell boston floop?

l-o-n-g b-e-a-c-h? ;)
vilainde Posted - 04/26/2005 : 00:39:23
There are a couple of minor mistakes if anyone wants to correct them (don't know how that works). There's no mention of Lyle and it says Rich was in the band since 1998. And DiTS was released in 2001, not 2000. Also, The Marsist is a simple 5/4 beat (or rather a 4/4 measure followed by a 6/4 one), that's 20 quavers and not 19.

did anyone else notice that Boston typo?
floop Posted - 04/25/2005 : 21:07:52
is that true about him damaging his vocal chords?
IceCream Posted - 04/25/2005 : 20:59:24
The Marsist is a good example about which I have nary a qualm, but I was hoping to see a mention of "Parry the Wind High, Low", for that has to be among the most atypical songs ever recorded.

On second thought, I suppose it's not even comparable to works of the Residents, but they don't really write "songs".
